Terms of Service

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. Who we are and acceptance of these terms

StoreCanary (storecanary.io) is operated by LAMOTTE LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New Mexico (USA), registered address 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, STE N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA, telephone +1 917 814 5390, email hello@storecanary.io. By using our website, running a scan or buying an audit, you agree to these Terms of Service, to our Refund Policy and to our Privacy Policy.

2. What StoreCanary does

StoreCanary performs read-only scans of the publicly accessible pages of a Shopify store (product pages, sitemap, robots.txt, structured data, indexability signals) and reports, in plain language, the technical problems that can keep products out of Google, with the fix for each. We never access your Shopify admin, never install anything in your store and never modify it.

  • Free scan: no card, no account. It names the type of problems found, how many pages they affect, and shows a few fixes in full.
  • Full catalog audit: a one-time paid report that lists every affected page of your catalog with the fix for each issue.

3. Price and payment

The full catalog audit costs $49 (US dollars), paid once. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal: you are charged only for the audit you order. Prices are set in US dollars. At checkout, Stripe may offer to pay the converted amount in your local currency; the amount Stripe shows you before you pay is the amount charged.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

4. Delivery

The audit is a digital service delivered immediately. It starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. Your report is available from the confirmation page and sent to the email address you gave at checkout, usually within minutes of the full scan finishing. If the scan fails, we tell you by email and complete the audit by hand, or refund you as described in our Refund Policy.

The report is yours to keep. You may share it with your developer, agency or team.

5. Re-check after 30 days

From 30 days after your audit, you can order a re-check of the same store for $39 with the code RECHECK39. It is a new one-time purchase under these same terms. Nothing is charged unless you order it.

6. Refunds

If your full catalog report finds no problem to fix (no critical issue and no warning), we refund you in full. We also refund you in full if the audit cannot be completed or delivered within 7 days, or if you were charged twice by mistake. To ask, email hello@storecanary.io within 30 days of your payment. Details in our Refund Policy.

7. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU and UK)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract concluded online. Because the audit is delivered immediately, before you pay we ask you to expressly request that the audit start right away and to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the report is delivered, the service then being fully performed. We keep a record of this consent with your order. If you withdraw before the report is delivered, we refund you in full. This section does not apply to business customers.

8. What the report is, and is not

The report describes what our scanner measured on your public pages at the time of the scan. We work hard to make it accurate and useful, but we do not guarantee that every problem affecting your store will be detected, or that fixing the problems will improve your rankings, traffic or sales, which also depend on Google and on many factors outside our control. Apart from the commitments in these terms and the rights the law gives you, the service is provided "as is".

9. Your responsibilities

  • Only order an audit for a store you own or are authorized to have audited
  • Give a valid email address at checkout, so we can deliver your report
  • Use the service in compliance with applicable law

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LAMOTTE LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, traffic or sales, arising from the use of the service or from changes you make to your store. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the audit concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the mandatory rights of consumers.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If a problem comes up, write to us first at hello@storecanary.io: most issues are settled quickly that way. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of the State of New Mexico. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you paid.
